Solstice Construction Co., Inc. is a custom residential building firm focused on top quality craftsmanship and client relations. Active in Western North Carolina since 2005, Solstice builds homes tailored to the tastes and needs of each client, with an emphasis on energy saving technologies and techniques. We prefer to build Energy Star or Green Built certified homes. We are also highly experienced in extensive remodeling of older homes.

     Attention to detail is what sets apart the work we do, from the unseen but all important technological systems of a home to the trim and design elements that a client will see every day. A house should feel like a home, and we strive to make your home the most comfortable place you know, the place you most want to be to rejuvenate and recharge. We do that by designing the details and functional spaces to your individual needs, personality, and lifestyle. 

Aaron Burdett, founder and owner of Solstice, comes from a family of woodworkers and builders, and studied alternative energy systems and Building Science at Appalachian State University. He’s been around craftsmen and the building industry for his entire life, and has two decades of experience as a hands on skilled carpenter that informs his eye for detail, as well as his managerial skills and interactions with subcontractors.

In addition to his "day job" with Solstice, Aaron Burdett is also a successful performing songwriter. He's the guitarist and singer for the Grammy winning band Steep Canyon Rangers and has also released seven solo albums. You can visit his website here, and the Rangers site here.

In early 2020 Aaron’s brother John joined the team and Solstice is now officially a family run business. John has excelled as the company’s client relations and project management lead.
